Fair Use Storage Policy

Up to 200 GB of storage per event. This is ample room for hundreds of high-resolution photos and video messages, even if you purchase media add-on packs.

Up to 400 GB of storage per event. Designed for large weddings, corporate events, or any occasion where unlimited uploads are expected.

Events without a media plan (Standard or Premium) cannot accept uploads. Storage is only allocated once a media plan is purchased.

Storage is allocated per event, not pooled across your account. Each event you create starts with its own fresh quota.

Every photo uploaded by you or your guests counts toward the quota. File size is measured as received — original files are stored exactly as uploaded.

Guest video uploads and video guestbook messages both count toward storage. Video files are typically larger, so they consume quota more quickly than photos.

The event cover image you upload counts toward storage.

We generate compressed preview thumbnails for faster gallery loading. These do not count toward your storage quota.

Placeholder blur data encoded at upload time is stored as lightweight metadata and does not count toward storage.

A warning will appear in your event dashboard when your event reaches 80% of its storage quota, giving you time to upgrade before uploads are blocked.

Once the quota is reached, new uploads from guests will be blocked. Existing photos and videos remain accessible and downloadable.

You can purchase additional media packs at any time to expand your file quota. If you need a temporary storage extension, contact our support team.

Whimpio is designed for personal event photo and video sharing — weddings, birthdays, corporate gatherings, and similar occasions.

Using the service for commercial media redistribution, automated bulk uploads, or archival of content unrelated to a genuine event is not permitted and may result in account suspension.

We reserve the right to suspend events that clearly violate this policy. We will always attempt to contact you before taking action.
